THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS (Toronto Red Carpet Premiere)

The corner of John and Richmond was buzzing Thursday night in downtown Toronto, as hoards of fans of all ages, awaited the director and cast of the teen phenomena that is THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. The book series started off as “Harry Porter” fan fiction and quickly gained popularity and international appeal. Now, the highly anticipated first film instalment, THE CITY OF BONES, is about to hit theatres. Along with the director Harald Zwart (THE KARATE KID remake), the principle cast was in attendance much to the excitement of the screaming crowd who were almost climbing over one another to get a glimpse of the actors along the red carpet. THE MORTAL INTRUMENTS: THE CITY OF BONES had it’s Toronto premiere on Thursday, August 15th, but those who weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket don’t have to wait too much longer. It is playing everywhere on Wednesday, August 21.
